Labor Day White

It’s Labor Day and thanks to the affluent wives around the civil war era, that pronounced white after Labor Day to be a sin amongst all fashionistas, we are told even today that we shouldn’t wear white afterwards. Thankfully the rules are starting to be broken more often than not. Because I don’t know about y’all but most likely, I’m still going to wear the color a couple times here n there after this Monday is over.

Although it was raining when we took these photos, it still worked out in the end. I saw this white floral detailed romper on the fashion mannequin at Charlotte Russe! I instantly fell in love with its lovely floral lace design and the way the hemline is scalloped and flares out and how white it is– hello gorgeous! Because of the plunging neckline, I thought it’d be a good idea to wear a necklace that meets at the cleavage but was still dainty enough that it wouldn’t take away from the one piece itself. I chose a nude block heeled sandal to keep the focus on the outfit as well. I also wanted to keep the look a little interesting with a red lip and the hair off to one side. A pretty soft and feminine look if I do say so myself.
